Wistron Medical Technology Malaysia Honoured at the 12th Asia Pacific Eldercare Innovation Awards 2024
Celebrating Excellence in Smart Rehabilitation and Care Innovation

Kuala Lumpur, 9 May 2024 – Wistron Medical Technology Malaysia is proud to announce its remarkable achievement at the 12th Asia Pacific Eldercare Innovation Awards 2024, held in conjunction with the World Ageing Festival in Singapore. The company secured a prestigious WIN in the category of Innovation of the Year – Rehabilitation Equipment for its breakthrough product, Keeogo™ Lower Limb Exoskeleton, and was also recognised as a Finalist in the Innovation of the Year – Smart Care Technology category for its innovative BestShape VS system.

With nearly 300 entries submitted from over 20 countries, this year’s competition showcased the very best in global eldercare innovation. The awards celebrate organisations that are redefining the ageing experience through forward-thinking technologies and impactful care delivery models.

Award-Winning Innovation: Keeogo™ Lower Limb Exoskeleton

Keeogo™, a smart motorised orthosis powered by Dermoskeleton™ technology, was awarded Innovation of the Year – Rehabilitation Equipment, recognised for its outstanding contribution in improving mobility and health outcomes for older adults. Presented by Ms. Chung, Clinical Specialist, Keeogo™ stood out for its user-initiated design that assists in walking, sit-to-stand movements, squatting, stair climbing, and more—without relying on pre-programmed motion patterns.

This lightweight, wearable technology provides real-time, responsive support, helping individuals with reduced mobility regain independence, reduce compensatory movement, and enhance rehabilitation outcomes.

BestShape VS: A Finalist in Smart Care Technology

In addition, BestShape VS, Wistron’s intelligent patient monitoring system, was named Finalist for Innovation of the Year – Smart Care Technology, a category that honours impactful advancements in care delivery. Represented by Ms. Iris, Business Development Director, BestShape VS impressed the judging panel with its potential to improve operational efficiency and elevate patient care standards through continuous health data integration and proactive monitoring.

This finalist recognition places BestShape VS among the top-tier innovations globally that are transforming how eldercare is delivered in both clinical and home environments.
